Mark your calendars for the 2024 Puget Sound Bird Fest on June 1–2 in Edmonds. The festival will feature two days of speakers, guided walks, field trips, boat tours, exhibits, and educational activities for children and adults.
The event will kick off Saturday with early-morning guided walks offered by the Pilchuck Audubon Society followed by a full day of activities at the Frances Anderson Center. You’ll find artists, vendors, and nonprofit organizations in the Exhibit Hall, along with the popular ‘Kid’s Corner’ chock full of hands-on activities for kids of all ages including an owl pellet dissection station. You’ll also have the opportunity to vote in the annual Bird Fest Photo Contest.
Head next door on Saturday to visit the Edmonds Plaza Room for a full day of presentations by regional experts including Tony Angell, Don Norman, Dr. Peter Hodum, and Barbara Ogaard, who will be accompanied by Aura, a live turkey vulture.
Sunday will be filled with guided walks and other field activities at local parks and birding hot spots in and around Edmonds, including a Sunday afternoon boat cruise offered by Puget Sound Express.
